Exhausted

 Between work, kids, a husband, maintaining a home, searching for a new job, and planning a 1st birthday party...............I'm beat!!!! But my paycheck will look right and the party will be so much fun!!!! I can't wait. It'll all be worth it in the end. And I'm praying that after everything I went through for this new position I get the job!!!

Candy Buffets

Like I previously mentioned, I love party planning and in February I did a baby shower for one of our friends. They asked me to do it at the last minute but of course I was willing. The main attraction just happened to be the candy buffet. I thought I'd surprise them with this gift and it was a big hit. The first candy buffet I did was at my bridal shower. It was a small display but everyone enjoyed. The colors for the baby shower were turquoise and brown and I found coordinating candy and ribbon for the project. The shorter candy jars were purchased for my bridal shower at Walmart for about $5.00 and recycled for the shower. I found the larger one at Homegoods for about $10.00. The two on the side were purchased at Dollar Tree. Sorry for the blurry cell phone pics.........

Carnival Party Inspiration

So Zuri's first birthday is coming up next month and I decided to do a Carnival Birthday Party! My first thoughts was a 1st diva birthday party but after getting the latest Oriental Trading Catalog I quickly changed my mind. I'm so excited! I started looking online for ideas months in advance and found lots of great ones. I have already ordered the decor and invites. The party will be held at our house in our yard. Still cant decide if we will rent a tent for that authentic "big top" feeling. Stay tuned for my planning pics!
